Catholic resources for young people
There are several good Catholic resources in the UK that young people in our parish can access directly, both online and through events. These can help with prayer, learning more about the faith, meeting other young Catholics, and taking part in retreats and formation activities.
Southwark Catholic Youth Service
Our parish is in the Archdiocese of Southwark, so the Southwark Catholic Youth Service is a key local resource. It offers youth days, retreats and other opportunities for young people, including under-18s. This is a good place to find events and activities that are relevant to our area.

Youth 2000 UK
Youth 2000 is a well-known Catholic youth movement in the UK. It offers retreats, prayer opportunities and faith events for young people and young adults. It also provides online and digital community options, which can be helpful for staying connected between events.

theASCENT UK
theASCENT UK offers a structured discipleship programme for older teenagers (especially secondary school age). It is designed for young people who want to go deeper in their faith over time, rather than only attending one-off events.

CAFOD resources for young people
CAFOD provides free resources for young people, including prayers, reflections, short films and materials on Catholic social teaching. These are easy to use at home and can help with personal prayer and learning.

National Office for Vocation (England and Wales)
This resource includes material for young people who want to reflect on vocation (their life direction and calling), prayer, and next steps such as university chaplaincy and Catholic young adult networks. It is especially useful for older teenagers and young adults.
